It is nevertheless an Anjouan licence—not an MGA, UKGC, Curaçao Gaming Authority or Malaysian licence. Those frameworks differ substantially in oversight, public enforcement history and practical player recourse. The Licence Is Close to Its Published Expiry Date

The timing deserves special attention. GOD55’s Anjouan licence was active on 2 September 2026, but its published expiry date was only 13 days later.

In March and April 2025, industry reporting examined GOD55’s regulatory claims after the brand entered a sponsorship arrangement with Birmingham City Football Club. According to SBC Eurasia’s report, the Malta Gaming Authority confirmed that GOD55 was not licensed by the MGA and said references to the authority were false and misleading.

At that point, investigators also reported unverified references to PAGCOR and Curaçao. The present Anjouan licence was issued later, on 16 September 2025.

We therefore would not describe GOD55 as presently “unlicensed” while the Anjouan record remains active. We would also not write that the current licence resolves the earlier transparency failure. Both facts belong in the assessment.

A new licence can change an operator’s current status. It cannot change what a different regulator said about earlier claims.

Who Owns and Operates GOD55?

The current licensing record identifies Empire Holdings Ltd as the licence holder associated with GOD55.

That gives players a company name to use when checking the official register or raising a complaint. It is more useful than a website that publishes only a brand name. However, the publicly visible corporate picture remains limited compared with operators that disclose a full registered address, company number, senior management and audited group structure in an easily accessible legal section.

These are two different restrictions:
